Cool sketch from the muscle car era

Of course The New York Times' article is vaguely insulting but not nearly as insulting as their article about the Saturn mobile. That article has the following teaser: There is a good reason that some of the new Saturns are the
best-looking, best-driving cars ever to grace a Saturn
dealership: they're German.

Like the auto unions, The Times LOATHES American auto companies. But, unlike auto unions, The Times also loathes the autoworkers. Mind you, The Times loves auto unions, it just hates the people in them.

Great artist's sketch. If Detroit built a lot of the cars the dreamteam came up with there'd be some great iron on the streets.

Just out of curiosity, does the NYT really like anything American outside of their offices?

Good point there, Fish. The Times would love America if only America exactly reflected the tastes, interests, and politics of The Times. Fortunately, only a handful of swells in Manhattan fit this recipe. The rest of us are sane.

Well, I was going to say that the Times hates America, period, but it looks as though that subject has already been thoroughly covered. :)

The NYT offered me a free subscription for a month. Sheesh! I wouldn't take the rag if they paid me! What I don't get is how they got my e-mail address since I have two e-mails and never use the e-mail they sent the offer to except for family and friends. One of my friends must be an undercover liberal. :(
