Memory Lane: Remember when you could actually use spray bottles?


If you are a youngster, you probably don't even know that we used to be able to use spray bottles that didn't require constant pumping. But that was before the Swells convinced us that the sky was going to fall if we didn't ban "propellants." Propellants are the things that make spray bottles spray.

And man the EnviroSwells really won that one. Now you'll get carpal tunnel from doing your freaking hair.

That victory was just a prelude to today's "kill all the humans" global warming philosophy. But you can see the same strategies at work. It's fascinating really.

Well, down in this here red state I live in we can still by aerosol cans of hair spray. SHHHHHHH! Don't tell the moonbats! ;)

Some Al Gore think-alike decided the propellent was what caused the hole in the ozone layer, so had it banned. The fact they could never get any effect on ozone in laboratory experiments after hundreds of tries was irrelevant. They had a theory they liked, and they were going to stick to it.
