Round up the Muslims. There isn't a dime's worth of difference between Muslims and this Mormon sect.

Reading the Associated Press story, I'm way more sympathetic to the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ etc etc, than I ever thought I would be.

Let me sum up the groups apparent offenses:

Remember, the whole stampede seems to be running on the word of an angry little ex-member of the sect who claims a young girl is in trouble... but, funny, she can't produce the girl. Does anyone smell a personal vendetta here? ::sniff::

After taking all the kids from their homes, the angry little former member of the sect, who is running this stampede, makes these astonishing claims:

1. The sect also teaches chldren to fear the outside world INCLUDING THE VERY AUTHORITIES WHO REMOVED THEM (from their homes)!

I'm forced to wonder why that is insane. That seems like a teaching based on current events to me.

I fear the same authorities for damn near the same reason as those kids. They'll be coming for all the Jesus people soon enough.

2. The alleged girl who phones the ex-sect member said the church teaches these antisocial ideas!

- Outsiders will hurt her. Er... Check.

- She will cut her hair. Check.

- She will wear makeup. Check.

- She will have sex with many men. Check. And probably well before the age of 15. Hell, if you can find a 15-year-old virgin in an Indiana school, you are a freaking magician.

Damn, the church is run by a freaking prophet!

So, in other words, this sect is PRECISELY CORRECT.

3. Get ready, this is the scariest: The girls wear pioneer dresses! MANY OF THE GIRLS HAVE NEVER WORN MODERN CLOTHING!

- So to be normal, they have to have a tramp stamp on their butt and show off their modern, newly pierced nose out of which drips an ornament resembling shiny snot. Better send in counselors? Hell, I want to join the damn church.

4. And finally, their really, really worst offense is that THEY HAVE NEVER GONE TO PUBLIC SCHOOLS.

God love them! They are visionaries!

I guess the authorities believe that had they gone to public schools, the girls would all be vicious YouTube beasts with butt tattoos who give their boyfriends blow jobs behind the school every day (cause that's not sex). And you know... for once I agree with the authorities.

Check out Chas' column on leftist intolerance.

I'm wondering: Why aren't we rounding up polygamous MUSLIMS? There is no difference between the Muslims and this sect. They dress funny, have bad haircuts, lots of wives, and they are damn suspicious of 'The Authorities.' Plus, unlike this group, the Muslims run suicide bomb operations.

So I am asking you: Why aren't we rounding up the Muslims?

First, thank you for visiting my blog,"From the Mind of Abouna".

Second, Ever since the raid on that Mormon compound, I have listening to the reports on Fox News, and I keep hearing them say that they don't know if they have the "16 year-old girl" who made the call for help. I also am beginning to wonder if this "Girl" even exists.

Now, I do not and will not condone dirty old men making it with little girls, but if the authorities made the whole thing up about the girl who made the call, just to have an excuse to raid the compound, then I think this whole thing stinks to high heaven and the authorities should be held accountable because, as I see it, there are some serious violations of the Constitution, civil rights violations and legal violations on the part of law enforcement.

Yes, there are a number of Muslim compounds located around the U.S., where they are training members in terrorist techniques, so why aren't they being raided, don't they pose more of a threat to us then the Mormons?

Something stinks in Denmark.

Oh yeah, I agree. And I think the most frightening part of this is the part where the kids are going to require 'intensive counseling'.

I always wonder whether that will work on the Rev Wright and his church members?

If we could just intensely 'counsel' them....

I was thinking "lecherous old men"... when I was reading the news.
But, you've also given me some other thoughts...
especially with the comparison to the 'other' religion

Walker, good on you! You are exactly right hon! There isn't any difference as far as I can see. None whatsoever! But let's also consider this... the Mormons won't go nuts and start chopping off anyone's head or strapping bombs to themselves in retaliation like many Muslims would. So perhaps the reason we leave them alone may have something to do with cowardice?

That cult is creepy but as Gayle says, they are not about to bomb anyone. Texas sure has become a nanny state or maybe I only recently noticed how intrusive government bureaucrats are in Texas.

Indeed, Patrick. This is government gone wild. Thanks for visiting.

Not that there wasn't some funny stuff going on (the Bible warns of false prophets, and Hank Hanegraaff has chronicled the numerous cases of ostensibly Christian churches being dens of heresy)--I wasn't there, so I don't know--but the answer is this sort of all out onslaught? What about empanelling a grand jury, handing down endictments if the evidence warrants, etc.? Showing up with a search warrant and leaving if they can't find the girl? I realize these folks, ala David Koresh, can sometimes be so uncooperative they give the government an excuse (and I do mean an excuse) to roll in with the tanks, but still . . . I can think of some groups that deserve this sort of attention more. Like the right Rev. Wright's church, for starters. Plenty of Mosques.

Very odd that there is an almost global movement to allow Muslim's to flout Western tradition and the laws of their host countries and be, essentially, a law unto themselves when it comes to honor killing, raping their multiple underage wives, etc, but live in a community without television, the Internet, or low-rider jeans and we've got to bust in on you.

I think the real lesson here is: traditional Western values must die. The Muslims are cool, and Rev. Wright is cool, because they despise and want to destroy traditional western values and thought. Quasi-Christian religious groups that generally honor and want to preserve traditional religious values (even if such compounds are genuinely flawed and, like many non-Western churches and organizations, in violation of the law) are fair game. Because they represent a common enemy. And it can be a message to the less extreme religious and traditional Christian folks, as well.

Amish country? We're looking at you.

BTW, blow jobs behind the school? Where was that when I was in high school? Damn, I missed out.

I mean, after all, it's not sex . . .

Kevin, my husband became all wistful about that high school thing too... men! LOL

The Amish are going to skate because they live without electricity which makes them liberals.

And I think you are precisely right, as usual, about why the Muslims will skate. But I hope I am alive to see the feminists beheaded in the soccer stadium. The last thing they will hear is me yelling: I told you so dumbass.

BTW, the Quaker's will always get a pass from the otherwise hostile-to-anything-remotely-Christian pop culture and mainstream media, because they are also nihilists, at heart. Pacifists to the point of cooperating in their own suicide/genocide. So the mainstream media and the left loves them some Quakers.

Walker, because you had the brilliant idea for this post, which I posted about and quoted you on, I wanted to let you know I gave you credit for giving me the idea for my post:
