One of the aspects of religious belief is that the Gods and Devils of the religion in question can seem to cause everything. So, it makes perfect sense to religious Global Warmians to say that thing that have no factual correspondence or logical relationship somehow cause each other--there is no reason to suggest that an average increase of global temperature caused by greenhouse gases, even if true, would cause hurricanes like Katrina. Or explain why there were worse hurricanes before the onset of "man made global warming". And so on.
