What kind of sparrow? English house sparrows or natives? We don't have them here but they are in all the gardens 13 miles south in the nearest town.

This year we are lucky to have some song sparrows roosting in the forest near the house. They arrived about a month ago and have been singing their beautiful "treble clef" songs ever since.

Just the basic American Tree Sparrow. I do see other kinds but my residents are tree sparrows.
