The 21st Century equivalent of fallout shelters

Leave it to the Norwegians to create a doomsday seed vault.

Great timing. This also reminds me of my dad who set up a lawn chair in the front yard so he could watch the neighbors put in their fallout shelter. He found it hilarious.

That's a nice idea. But if the world is doomed anyway, then what would be the point? Nothing would grow anywhere ever least that what 'they' say!

What WTR said is absolutely the truth. Who would want to live in a hole in the ground... because that's what it would come to. And before they could return up top their equipment would wear out!

If there's a doomsday scenerio to play out, I would prefer to be ground zero for the beginning. Though I'm probably more qualified to survive than many, I like my world the way it is and would not want to live in a bare subsistance existence.
