Tiger swallowtail on thistle
I've been stalking this Tiger Swallowtail in the woods for a month, but to no avail. Yesterday I found him busy on a thistle but had my camera on the wrong setting! arrrgh. This is the best shot I got and it is pretty washed out. But sort of interesting.

I have been watching a butterfly flitting about here and there. I keep thinking of you as he dashes by...
once you start trackin' a tiger you can tell it's the same one by its paw prints... right Walker???

LOL Yeah, okay, have your fun, you guys.
But, you know, when I sit around with the other butterfly stalkers and recount my glory days, YOU GUYS will be featured prominently when I tell them about singing moles, backyard digging, and wacky art! So go ahead and laugh...
Right now I've got to run get my net. I see by the tracks, that pesky Ralph, the Tiger Swallowtail, is trying once again to elude my camera ...
