God Bless Barack Obama

I think being the President of the United States is not a glorious experience, but instead a humbling one. I pray God Barack Hussein Obama is up to the task.

We have elected a man who is profoundly anti-American to lead our country. I pray the people of the United States will have the courage to stand up to Barack's worst inclinations. I pray Obama will grow up in the office that he will begin to see the values of honesty, hard work and fair play as valuable in American life.

Let us pray that the left wing grows up.

Let us pray that conservatives never become as angry as the left wing. After all, we're armed. :-)

God Bless Barack Obama. It's kind of cool that you guys elected the first black president. I would have preferred electing the first Democrat president who liked America, myself. But, it is kind of cool, still.

May conservatives have the will and energy to stand up to him as he attempts to gut business, destroy our way of life, and tax the middle class into extinction. Go on welfare now because change is coming!

Anybody who wants to repeal the past eight years tax breaks (ha) does not make me very happy. I just hope the senate doesn't get the philibuster and that this legislation doesn't get passed. Nevertheless, God bless the new President!

If you read the conservative blogs, that doesn't seem likely. Hopefully, that will pass. The talk about assassinating Obama (or him getting assassinated) is not cool. All the antichrist stuff isn't cool, when it's serious. I admit, there is a fringe of conservatives that are angry and nasty and it's a little disappointing.

On the other hand, I'm amazed at what graceless, nasty, hubristic winners lefties have always been and continue to be. A few serious liberals, old school, who are just flawed in their thinking are eager to extend the olive branch. However, "you conservatives can suck it. go kill yourselves" (this is a direct quote) are very common. "Die, you mother-f***ers. I hope you all rot in hell for what you did to this country" is a common type of sentiment on the left--after they've won.

They aren't just dancing in the endzone and flipping the opposing team the bird. They are telling the opposition to die. "We won, now do the world a favor and put a bullet in your head."

The politics of unity, indeed. At the same time, it's illustrative of how much projection there is on the left, onto Obama. Obama is not remotely that guy. Yes, he wants to turn us into a radically socialist nation, but he's not telling out there hoping McCain has a heart attack and dies (as painfully as possible) like so many of his supporters seem to be.

I'm less worried about Obama, who ran a decent and honorable campaign (at least on the surface--and I'm beginning to think the rampant corruption and fraud had less to do with him than his psycho supporters) than the folks who voted for him. They aren't just ignorant of history. They're nasty, brutish and intensely hateful, even in victory. Especially in victory.

It's gonna be a long 4-to-8 years.

Let me hasten to point out that my comment ("we're armed") was NOT directed at BO. Never, ever would I even consider suggesting that someone would kill any one, not BO or anyone else. Lord Have Mercy, I'm not a deranged Democrat.

What I had in mind was really armed revolution. I mean, it is always an option if the people who work are to be turned into a forced labor group.

At any rate, that hasn't happened yet and no doubt will not happen. I'm just saying...

Yeah, I wasn't remotely referring to your comment. Or anything like that. I'm referring to very specific instances, that are sometimes so outrageous (and specific) I can't help show my bias and think it's actually a liberal troll. On the Internetz these days, you never do know.
