If the blogsphere proves anything...

It proves that people can write something and it doesn't mean shit.

Which brings us to the Gospel of Judas! Another apochryphal text that, for Easter week, would be a good anti-Jesus movie!

From the National Geographic Channel, the ridiculous teaser that says:
THE GOSPEL OF JUDAS
Hidden for almost 2000 years an ancient text threatens to change religious history

Not likely. Even livescience.com doesn't think the Gospel of Judas will change anything, and that's saying something.

How could it possibly change anything when it doesn't even go back to the time of "Judas", but is a copy of a previous document?

These ani-Jesus freaks are going to be so shocked when they meet him face to face. I'm glad I'm not one of them! :)

*sigh*...how cynical and tragic the people are who hope to be granted 'silver' in exchange for adding more conflicting information to an information-addicted populace.

Surely the portrayal/betrayal that is about to be unleashed via the mass-media will just add more confusion to an already confused world. When will people realise that it is they who are being betrayed, patronised and hypnotised by all this stuff.

While all the Dan Brown fanatics have had their heads buried in his sand - loosing themselves in irrelevant detail and debate and going around in rapturous cirlces, feeling themselves to be privy to 'secret knowledge', - certain right-wing christian fundamentalists have been making b-lines straight to the hearts and minds of the people using not love, but fear and paranoia as their weopons of choice.

All the recent hysteria around 'revalatory' concepts only appeals to people with no imagination or creativity to call their own....they need the imagination and creativity of others to prop-up their otherwise crumbling morals....that is why they are rich-easy pickings for any amoral author,film-maker or politician.

The information/knowledge that is contained in all of the religous parchments ever found is and has always been freely available to anyone who has ever 'considered the lily'.
