Post racial America?

According to the Huffington Post:

Rove's comments did center on race, and the post-racial America Obama inherits as President.

I'd be curious about what you all think of this. Is this a post-racial America or a hyper-racial America?

Hyper-racial. Tavis Smiley already said: "So what? One black guy gets elected president. Historic, sure, but it doesn't mean anything. This isn't a post-racial society." And he made sure to dismiss the idea of the "politics of grievance", because folks were just pointing out legitimate disparities in race. The translation is: nothing has changed. Whitey still owes us big time. And that is never gonna change.

I had not heard that about Tavis Smiley. But it does make me wonder if BO will keep the support of the black Victim Industry if he does not quickly start imposing some draconian anti-white legislation

What are the chances, would you think, that BO, as his first act as lord and master, proposes reparations?

First act? Nah. I don't think it'll even be him. He's not going to want that to be laid at his feet. He'll have congress start to work on it. If it passes, he won't veto it. But he'll probably do a midnight signing, ala Bill Clinton. If it doesn't pass, he wasn't for it, he wasn't against it, he was busy being president.

The only way I'd be for reparations is if those receiving payment were to return to their country of origin, never to return here. Renounce their citizenship and leave. There is noone still alive who owned or sold slaves, therefore noone deserves reparations.
