Look who took the lobbyist contributions

Ooops! Looks like a bunch of those holy Dems did and -- WHAT DO YOU KNOW? -- right there at the top is Barack "I don't take money from lobbyists" Obama.

Sarah Palin hair update

Since my hubby and I were going out to dinner last night (my birthday), I dashed over to Wally World to get my hair trimmed, thus putting millions of independent hairstylists out of business. The stylist offered to do an 'updo' in honor of my birthday.

Instantly I became Sarah Palin.

Walking out, I noticed that ALL the women were Sarah Palin. By golly, Sarah has rocked the Walmart crowd. Young girls with long hair -- every one of them had a Palin.

What does this tell us? God I don't know. I'm just saying.

One step further down the Sarah assault road

Get this: a New York Times writer says the very fact that Palin got amniocentesis is proof that she considered abortion!

My God, these people are reprehensible.

And the comments from New York Times readers.... Lord have mercy. These people are missing some essential ingredient of humanity.

How do I get Palin's hair style?

I would look great in this hairstyle.

Can anyone tell me how to get it?

In fact, I think all us gals should do the Sarah updo!

New stadium doesn't help the Colts

Colts lost to the bears Sunday.

Peyton opines:“It’s a really a disappointing feeling to lose a game – first game new stadium, 15th game old stadium, it’s really disappointing to lose. We’ve got to go to work.”

Duh.

Painted Lady

Dozens of painted ladies are flying around my garden this year, along with a nice selection of honey bees.

Politico's insults: If you can't be sexist, then be repulsive

From Politico

A choice that was intended to shake up the race did so with more ferocity than McCain ever intended. The mother of five — with one pregnant teenage daughter and an infant son with Down syndrome — has joined a parade of personalities from Anita Hill to O.J. Simpson to Monica Lewinsky to become a cultural flash point."

Bulletin: She's not a lying tool of the elites like Anita Hill. She's not a double knife murderer. And she's not a slut.

It amazes me that these people get away with this.

Piper's hair lick

The libs are saying this was 'gross' and 'unclean.'

Why can't the convention come FIRST?

I wish I could have heard all these guys together on the stage before the primaries!

Rudy was tough, babe!

"How dare they call into question her ability to be a mother, to be there for her children, and at the same time to be the Vice President. When have they ever launched such an objection against a man?"

"Obama has never run anything: a country, a state, nada. He would be the least experienced US president for over 100 years", he asserted. "We need to distinguish substance from style", he insisted, "it is the time to lead a nation, not for learning. And no-one can say to McCain that he is not ready, we would be in safe hands with him: our families, our children and our country".

Yeah!

Ann Curry, MSNBC, and the rest of the liberals don't sympathize, of course

"There ARE some people who SYMPATHIZE with Sarah Palin! They sympathize that she has a Down (sic) child. They sympathize that she has a daughter who is having a baby at 17. They sympathize that she has son in Iraq." Ann Curry, MSNBC

MSNBC... is the left wing THAT large? Who can stand that?

Fred ROCKS!!

FRED ROCKS

It has to be called misogyny

About Sarah Palin:

The loyal Republicans I chat with on this site are ecstatic about Sarah Palin but, after speaking with friends here in the heartland, I'm saddened with what I've heard.

Indeed, the argument that Palin doesn't have the time to be vice president, resonates with women I have spoken to here in Indiana. They don't believe women should work when they have young children (and come to think of it -- neither do I!). They don't believe in the woman the democrats love to push who 'has it all' and who does it all. Even the Democrat women I know, are parttime workers and fulltime mothers (and they are pro-life.)

But I've also found another sentiment, a darker sentiment, among Democrat and Republican women here in Indiana: They don't like women in power. They REALLY don't like handsome women in power. They aren't prepared to give her a chance.

Beware: Misogyny is alive and well -- in women.

Elect Sarah Palin because...

...in the immortal words of that reknown political observer P Diddy:

There ain't no crackheads in Alaska! There ain't no crime in Alaska!

Indeed!

He went on to say there ain't no black people in Alaska.

The last visionary

"General Secretary Gorbachev, if you seek peace, if you seek prosperity for the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, if you seek liberalization: Come here to this gate! Mr. Gorbachev, open this gate! Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!"

Ronald Reagan

Fondly remembering actual leadership.

Question: What's more important?

Hoosier Boy asks a good question:

What is more important, Sarah Palin's daughter being knocked up and her husband's arrest for DWI more than 20 years ago, or The Obama's close association with a known and unrepentant terrorist Bill Ayres?

Discuss.

Your SUVs are destroying sun spots

How does it feel to be a liberal, all snug and cozy in your conviction that you are so very scientific and that everything you believe is scientific fact and then every single day something else proves you wrong?

I'm sure everyone has seen the Drudge story about the sun lacking its spots but maybe only we 'global warming unbelievers' noted this paragraph:

In the past 1000 years, three previous such events -- the Dalton, Maunder, and Spörer Minimums, have all led to rapid cooling. One was large enough to be called a "mini ice age". For a society dependent on agriculture, cold is more damaging than heat. The growing season shortens, yields drop, and the occurrence of crop-destroying frosts increases.

Of course, this problem of the sun spots NEEDS MORE STUDY! Unlike global warming which, as we know, is settled science (can you read my sarcasm here?)

Or, did you read with hilarity, the sentence that breathlessly exclaimed: The event is significant as many climatologists now believe solar magentic activity is an influencing factor for climate on earth.

Damn! There's a big orange ball in the sky! Do you think that influences the earth's climate? Dang... quick look in a book and see if this is settled science.
